Petrified wood with agate chalcedony in limnocartzite
Miocene agate edged and middle wood fossils in limnoquartzite rock. One side of the stone is polished and the other is in its natural state. In limnoquartzite, cross-sections of smaller branches, reeds, and other plants are also visible. The fossil came to the surface during limnocartzite mining near the settlement of Fony in the rivers of the Zemplén Mountains in Hungary. The size of the polished surface is approx. 251 mm x 165 mm. The maximum thickness of the stone is 63 mm. Weight approx: 3420 grams + packaging. The diameter of the largest tree branch in the sand is about 96 mm.
