Phoridae fossil in Dominican amber
Miocene age (approx. 30 million years old) inclusion of Phoridae (humpfly) in amber. Amber comes from Dominica. The dimensions of the amber are approximately: 18.5 mm x 11 mm x 3 mm. Weight approx: less than 1 gram. I give the amber in a plastic storage box of approx. 28 mm x 28 mm x 21.5 mm.
