Platybelodon tooth SOLD (PA) 11
The tooth of a Gomphotherium-like elephant named Platybelodon of Miocene age (approx. 15-10 million years). The origin of Platybelodon tooth is China, Gansu. It was part of an old Belgian collection for several decades. Today, such fossils are very difficult to obtain because China has banned the export of vertebrate fossils. The dimensions of the tooth are approximately: length 91.5 mm, height 79 mm, width 51 mm. Weight Approx: 291 grams + packaging. The tooth is in a natural state, not preserved.
