Stegodon sp. partial jaw (8,7 Kg) SOLD (P) 11
Pliocene age (approx. 2 million years old) Stegodon sp. (elephant) partial right jaw with 1 complete tooth. The Stegodon jaw was found in the sediments of the Solo River in Indonesia, on the island of Java. The dimensions of the jaw are approximately: length 403 mm, height 203 mm, width 162 mm. The length of the tooth in the jaw is 226 mm. The weight of the jaw is approx. 8.7 Kg + packaging. The Stegodon fossil is not preserved in its natural state.
