Tripneustes parkinsoni from Framce
Miocene Burdigalian (approx. 18 million years old) stone containing the remains of 5 sea urchins called Tripneustes parkinsoni. Tripneustes fossils are from Vaucluse, France. The dimensions of the stone containing the sea urchins are approx. 281 mm x 170 mm x 82 mm. Its weight is approx. 3270 grams + packaging. The sea urchins are deformed due to the geological environment. It is interesting that more than 50 sea urchins remained on and around the sea urchins. One side of the stone is cut so that it can be set up neatly on a shelf or display case. The diameter of the largest sea urchin is approx. 98 mm.
