Turitella sp. from Hungary (66 mm) SOLD (PA) 12
Turitella sp of Eocene age. snail (stone intestine). The fossil came to the surface during coal mining in Hungary, in the Bakony Mountains near the settlement of Dudar. The mud lining the snail's house has petrified. Over time, the material at the place of the snail house re-dissolved and the discharge remained. The dimensions of the snail residue are approx. 66 mm x 22 mm x 30 mm. The weight of the Eocene stone is approx. 24 grams + packaging. The stone also contains the imprints of other fossils.
