Woolly Rhino axis vertebra Coelodonta antiquitatis
Pleistocene woolly rhinoceros (Coelodonta antiquitatis) axis (second) cervical vertebra. The rhinoceros fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The vertebra measures approximately: length 125 mm, height 197 mm, width 151 mm. Weight approximately: 621 grams + packaging. The surface of the vertebra is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol.
