Woolly rhinoceros partial humerus bone (413 mm)
Partial humerus bone of a Pleistocene woolly rhinoceros (Coelodonta antiquitatis). The rhinoceros fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the humerus bone are approximately: length 413 mm, width 201 mm, thickness 131 mm. Weight approximately: 3250 grams + packaging. Large drying cracks are visible on the bone. The surface of the bone is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol. The cracks were filled with cyanoacrylate.
