Young seal femur bone
Pleistocene age (Pagophilus groenlandicus?) young seal femur bone. The seal fossil was found during trawling in the North Sea, near the coast of the Netherlands. The dimensions of the femur bone are approx.: length: 73 mm, width: 46 mm, thickness 21 mm. Weight: approx. 37 grams + packaging. The surface of the bone is preserved with Collal glue dissolved in acetone, which makes the surface of the bone shiny.
