Bison priscus metacarpus bone (245 mm)
Bison priscus (steppe bison) metacarpal bone. The bone remains were found during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The size of the bone is approximately: length 245 mm, width 93 mm, thickness 54 mm. Weight approximately: 631 grams + packaging. The surface of the bone is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol.
