young Gomphotherium maxilla with two whole teeth in carbon rock
The Gomphotherium maxilla of a Miocene age kid has two whole teeth in charred bedrock. The Gomphotherium fossil surfaced in Bosnia during coal mining. The size of the coal rock is approximately 180 mm x 232 mm x 94 mm. Weight approx: 2317 grams + packaging. The smaller tooth has a size of about 28 mm in length and 18 mm in width. The larger tooth has a length of 60 mm and a width of 38 mm. The surface of Gomphotherium fossil and carbon is preserved with cyanoacrylate. The larger drying cracks in coal were filled with epoxy adhesive.
