Seal (Pagophilus groenlandicus?) partial plevic bone (116 mm)
Partial pelvic bone of a Pleistocene seal (Pagophilus groenlandicus?). The seal fossil was found during trawling in the North Sea, near the coast of the Netherlands. The dimensions of the pelvic bone are approximately: 116 mm x 49 mm x 25 mm. Weight approx.: 66 grams + packaging. The surface of the bone is preserved with Collal glue. The remains of Bryozoa colonies still living in the sea can be seen in some places on the pelvic bone.
