Quercus kubinyii leaf pair from Hungary
Miocene age: 10-13 million years old Quercus cf. kubinyii (oak) leaf imprints in pairs on silicified bedrock. The Oak leaf fossils were found during diatom mining in the Zemplén Mountains in Hungary near the Erdőbénye settlement. The dimensions of the stones are approx.: (A): 152 mm x 103 mm x 50 mm. Weight approx.: 418 grams + packaging. (B): 130 mm x 73 mm x 15 mm. Weight approx.: 79 grams + packaging. The length of the Quercus leaf imprint is approx.: 58 mm.
