Jurassic age (approx. 200-170 million years) at least 25 Dactyloceras ammonites on bedrock. Among the Dactyloceras, some small-sized Harpoceras can also be observed. The place of origin of the Dactyloceras fossil is a quarry on the edge of Ohmden near Holzmaden, Germany. Collection date: May 2023. The dimensions of the stone containing the ammonites are approx. 366 mm x 290 mm x 29 mm. Weight approx.: 2208 grams + packaging. The diameter of the largest Dactyloceras is approx. 67 mm. The ammonites and the whole stone are preserved with a substance called Durol STH 101, which prevents the decomposition of the pyrite and phosphate minerals.
