Mammuthus primigenius (woolly mammoth) partial femur (thigh) and pelvic bone. The mammoth fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the bones are approximately: femur: length 125 mm. width 192 mm, thickness 185 mm. Weight approximately: 2193 grams + packaging. Pelvic bone: 279 mm x 216 mm x 175 mm. Weight approximately: 4163 grams + packaging. The surface of the bones is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol.
