Mammuthus primigenius partial cervical vertebra bone SOLD (AD) 07
Partial cervical vertebra bone of Mammuthus primigenius (woolly mammoth). The mammoth fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the bone are approximately: length 84 mm, height 245 mm, width 215 mm. Weight approximately: 1211 grams + packaging. The surface of the bone is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol. A piece broke off from the side of the vertebra and was glued back together with cyanoacrylate.
