Agate snail fossil cut in two and polished
An agate snail fossil of Eocene age. The snail fossil was cut in two and both halves are nicely polished. The origin of the snail fossil is Morocco, Western Sahara, Dakhla. The dimensions of the agate snail are approx: A: 59 mm x 33 mm x 15 mm, weight approx: 21 grams + packaging, B: 49 mm x 34 mm x 12 mm, weight approx: 16 grams + packaging. The finding rock is visible on the outer surface of the snail. Tiny quartz crystals glisten in the inner cavities of the agate snail.
