Equus sp. partial jaw (253 mm) Horse
Partial right lower jaw of a Pleistocene horse (Equus sp.). 5 whole teeth can be seen in the jaw bone. The horse fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the jaw are approximately: length 253 mm, height 118 mm, width 26 mm. Weight approx.: 348 grams + packaging. The surface of the jaw is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol.
