Zelkova ungeri leaf pair from Erdőbénye SOLD (TJA) 03
Miocene age (approx. 10-13 million years old) Zelkova Hungarian (elm) leaf imprint in pair on silicified diatom surface. The plant fossil was found during diatom mining in the Zemplén Mountains in Hungary near the settlement of Erdőbénye. The dimensions of the stone containing the leaf imprint are approx.: (A): 121 mm x 55 mm x 14 mm. Weight approx.: 62 grams + packaging. (B): 114 mm x 54 mm x 14 mm. Weight approx.: 35 grams + packaging. The length of the Zelkova leaf imprint is approx.: 50 mm. The leaf fossil is in natural condition, not preserved.
