Partial neck vertebra bone of a Pleistocene seal (Pagophilus groenlandicus?). The seal fossil was found during trawling in the North Sea, near the coast of the Netherlands. The dimensions of the vertebral bone are approximately: length 38 mm, height 60 mm, width 70 mm. Weight approx.: 69 grams + packaging. A significant part of the vertebral bone was worn by Bryozoa colonies living in the sea. These are visible as a whitish layer on the bone. The vertebral bone is in its natural state and is not preserved.
