Agate-edged petrified wood limnokcarcit in rock
Miocene agate-edged wood fossil in limnoquartzite rock. One side of the stone is polished and the other part is in its natural state. Limnocartzite also shows cross-sections of smaller branches, reeds, and other plants. The fossil surfaced in Hungary during limnocartzite mining in the Zemplén Mountains near Fony. The size of the polished surface is approx .: 138 mm x 92 mm. The maximum thickness of the stone is 33 mm. Weight approx: 477 grams + packaging.
