Bison priscus radius bone SOLD (NR) 01
Bison priscus (steppe bison) radius bone. The bison fossil came to the surface during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the bone are approximately: 439 mm x 129 mm x 80 mm. Weight approx.: 1857 grams + packaging. Drying cracks are visible on the bone. The surface of the bone is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30. This makes its surface shiny, but if necessary it can be redissolved with ethanol.
