Pleistocene Equus sp. (ancient horse) metacarpal bone. The horse fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the bone are approx.: length 241 mm, width 60 mm, thickness 42 mm. Weight approx.: 407 grams + packaging. The surface of the bone is preserved with a substance called Polyviny Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol.
