Equus sp. partial jaw (336 mm)
Partial jaw of a Pleistocene horse (Equus sp.). 6 whole teeth can be seen in the jaw bone. The horse fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. Dimensions of the jaw: length 336 mm, height 180 mm, width 32 mm. Weight approx.: 1085 grams + packaging. The surface of the jaw is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol.
