Equus sp. partial metacarpal bone (255 mm)
Pleistocene Equus sp. (ancient horse) partial metacarpal bone. The horse fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the bone are approx.: length 255 mm, width 55 mm, thickness 37 mm. Weight: approx. 445 grams + packaging. The surface of the bone is preserved with PVB (Mowital). A large longitudinal crack is visible on the bone. A piece of bone is missing along the crack.
