Igdamanosaurus (28 mm) Globidens aegyptiacus tooth from Morocco
Igdamanosaurus aegyptiacus (Globidens) tooth of Cretaceous age (approx. 70.6-66 million years). The tooth remains come from the Qued-Zem site in Morocco. Globidens is a type of Mosasaurus whose teeth are specialized for ripping open the shell of ammonites, nautilus and smaller turtles. The Globidenses could reach a length of approx. 6 meters. The size of the tooth shown in the pictures is approx. 27 mm x 28 mm x 25 mm. Weight approx.: 22 grams + packaging.
