Megaloceros giganteus partial jaw (234 mm) SOLD (LL) 02
Megaloceros giganteus (Irish giant deer) lower right partial jaw. The deer fossil came to the surface during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. Dimensions of the jaw: length 234 mm, height 60 mm, width 29 mm. Weight: approx. 267 grams + packaging. 3 whole teeth can be seen in the jaw bone. The surface of the jaw is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol.
