Quercus sp. partial leaf pair from Hungary SOLD (PA) 12
Miocene age approx.: 10-13 million years old manganese dendritic Quercus cf. kubinyii (oak) partial leaf impression in a pair on silicified bedrock. The oak leaf fossil was unearthed during diatom mining near the Erdőbénye settlement in the Zemplén Mountains in Hungary. The dimensions of the stones are approximately: (A): 192 mm x 155 mm x 51 mm. Weight approx.: 1196 grams + packaging. (B): 103mm x 103mm x 26mm. Weight approx.: 242 grams + packaging. The length of the Quercus leaf impression is approx. 44 mm.
