Seal partial vertebra bone (Pagophilus groenlandicus)
Partial vertebral bone of a Pleistocene seal (Pagophilus groenlandicus?). The seal fossil was found during trawling in the North Sea, near the coast of the Netherlands. The dimensions of the vertebral bone are approx.: length: 54 mm, height: 63 mm, width: 59 mm. Weight approx.: 74 grams + packaging. The surface of the bone is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol.
