Stabilized Mammuthus meridionalis (southern mammoth) female mammoth tusk slice. The remains of the tusk came to the surface during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. Thanks to the stabilization, the tusk slice can be polished and carved. Suitable for decorating knife handles for making jewelry or other objects. The size of the tusk slice is approx.: 110 mm x 88 mm x 9 mm. Weight approx.: 139 grams + packaging. Both sides of the fang are polished. The resin-stabilized board measures 110 mm x 98 mm x 9-9.5 mm.

The tusks of the females were much smaller, they did not bend upwards or twist inwards. Archidiscodon meridionalis was an inhabitant of savannahs, but also lived in sparse scrubby landscapes and forests; it did not inhabit the grassy steppes that can be clearly called steppes.
