Partial horse skull of Equus sp with pathological teeth SOLD (A) 10
Partial skull of a Pleistocene horse (Equus sp.) broken into two pieces. The special feature of the horse skull is that the M4 and 5 teeth are abnormally worn on both sides. 4 teeth show signs of bacterial infection. All 12 complete chewing teeth are visible in the skull bone. 1 incisor tooth can be seen in the separate smaller bone. The horse fossil came to the surface during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The combined dimensions of the skull bone are approx.: length 493 mm, height 120 mm, width 214 mm. Weight: approx. 1665 grams + packaging. The skull was collected about 20 years ago. Its surface is preserved with PaleoBond fossil glue.
