Upper tooth of a young Woolly Rhinoceros from Hungary (152 grams)
Upper tooth of a young Coelodonta antiquitatis (woolly rhinoceros). The rhinoceros tooth came to the surface during gravel mining in Pest, Hungary. The size of the tooth is approx: 73 mm x 56 mm x 66 mm. Weight approx.: 152 grams + packaging. The surface of the tooth was preserved with a fossil adhesive called PaleoBond more than 10 years ago. The rhino has not yet chewed with this tooth. The chewing surface of the tooth still has no signs of wear from use. Old drying cracks are visible on the lower part of the tooth.
